On 17th May we had to count the leaves on five plants that were randomly selected from each tray. We used a random number generator to select the seed tray cells. We then had to work out the average number of leaves for the 5 plants in each tray before recording this number on the chart. The plants from the red packet of seeds had a much lower average number of leaves (2.6 leaves) than the plants from the blue seed packet (4.1 leaves).

Many children are now convinced that the red seeds are the space seeds as they are not growing as well and must have been damaged by their time in space.
