Year 1 children are currently learning about castles. This seemed like an ideal opportunity to visit our local castle!

We had a fantastic day getting to see the state apartments, St George's chapel and learning lots about castles in our workshop. We even got to dress up and have a go at shooting some arrows through the arrow slits. 

Year 1 really impressed Gordon (who ran the workshop) with all their castle knowledge.
