You may have noticed three new bug and insect hotels in our grounds. These were gifted to our school by Year 4 as their leavers’ present, generously funded by Year 4 parents.
The idea behind the gift is simple but powerful - to leave a lasting legacy that helps our local wildlife thrive while inspiring future pupils to care for the environment. This thoughtful project also supports our Eco School work, creating habitats for bees, butterflies and other pollinators for years to come.
Parents teamed up with volunteers from GoodGym Windsor to clear and prepare the ground. Then the Year 4 class rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, helping to position the hotels, scatter wildflower seeds and plant herbs and perennials. Proudly creating something they know will grow and flourish long after they have moved on.
A huge thank you to our Year 4 families and everyone involved for this gift of care, kindness and learning that will keep growing for years to come.
