Year 1 had a super first day of our Olympic week. 

We started off by finding out about the history of the Olympics and where the Olympic games were being held this year. As they are being held in Paris we learnt how to say colours in French and tasted some yummy croissants and baguettes. 

In the afternoon we learnt about the importance of the Olympic torch and watched the torch lighting from previous Olympic games. We made our own Olympic torches using a paper plate and tissue paper. We enjoyed waving them whilst we listened to Olympic music.
