Year 2 have been looking at some of the Paralympic athletes who will take part in Paris 2024.

We looked at some of the 22 sports which will make up the Paralympics Olympics this year and discovered that some of the Parathletes had tried other Paralympic sports before discovering the ones they were best at. We also learnt some of the Parathletes have been at previous Paralympics and had been very successful so we are excited to watch how they get on this year. 

We were also fascinated by how far Jonathan Edwards jumped in his World record for the triple jump and how it was still not be broken in almost 30 years. We measured out 18.29m in the playground and tried to jump that far however it took six Year 3 children to jump that far!!!
