We have had a brilliant, fun packed term and a great last week of the Spring term.
In English we have been using our topic The Ancient Greeks to help us research and learn how the Greeks lived. We had an exciting trip to the Chertsey Museum to start our topic but have been continuing to use our learning to help us write a non-chronological report based on the Greek Gods and Goddess.
In Maths we have been working with fractions and have really grasped the concept that it is part of a whole. We have even applied our fraction knowledge in other areas of our learning.
Our Science this term has been about light and dark which the weather seems to have been replicating! When we wanted to investigate shadows and needed it to be dark the sun shone brightly. But when we wanted to investigate the way the sun travels across the sky it disappeared! We did manage to get out in the playground eventually and track the sun moving from East to West and we made some exciting discoveries about shadow sizes and how they change.
We Enjoyed our Easter RE Day on Thursday and recreated Jesus’s Last Supper whilst discuss our learning about Holy week and the importance of Easter. We then drew a comic strip to show what happened during each day of Holy Week.
It’s been such a busy half term, please enjoy our photos to see what we have been learning about.
