This week Reception Class celebrated the Chinese New Year- The Year of the Snake. We learnt how the years were named and then retold the animal race using small world toys. We used our phonic skills to write a list of the animals in the race and to write a simple sentence to tell others which animal we are. We developed our maths skills by counting money in a selection of lucky envelopes. We made decorations and did a dragon dance. Look at our photos to find out more about our learning this week.
