It’s been another busy week in Reception Class. We have continued learning about Bears! We have learnt about teddy bears and real bears. We have measured our teddies, written descriptions about them and drawn them. We have also labelled a diagram of a bear. At the end of the weekend, we invited parents in to help us sew bear faces. It was our first go at sewing and we did really well. Thank you to all the helpers who came in to assist us.

In phonics we learnt the last two graphemes for this year- ‘ear’ and ‘ure’. We will now be practising using all our sounds to read and write increasingly complex words.

This week we have focussed on doubling in maths. We have also practised writing addition number sentences and measuring.

Finally, as the weather has been so gorgeous, we have all loved being in our outside area and using the bikes in the big playground.

Look at the photos below to see us having fun learning!
