Year 1 have had a super week of learning.

We are looking at the story Owl Babies as part of our English learning and used masks to retell the story in small groups. We had some super actors and actresses!

We enjoyed practicing our gymnastic skills on a Monday and got to play some games too.

Last week we made our own homes as part of our Geography learning. There were some fantastic houses, flats, cottages and caravans. This week we wrote about what we had made.

In Maths we are looking at greater than, less than and equal to. We used the idea of a crocodile mouth to help us remember the correct sign to use. The crocodile mouth always eats the biggest number.

In science we are looking at seasons. We thought about how trees change in the different seasons and what we notice happening. We created a tree from each season making sure we thought carefully about colours.

We have enjoyed some choosing time and getting to play alongside our friends. We created models with the cubes and Lego and have some very keen drawers in the classroom.
